In Rochelle, Georgia, a doctor has been accused of treating cancer patients with a flesh-eating herbal paste, leaving them disfigured. In one case, the flesh on a patient's shoulder was so bad that the bone was exposed. According to the article, the doctor's own website says patients should seek pain management from a licensed physician. "This allows the doctor to help the patient take care of his health the way he, the patient, sees fit! Yet it allows the doctor to stay out of jail."

I'm not saying the patient's got what they deserved, not in the least, don't even think it, I feel for them and understand they were trying to seek out care as best as they could. But I will say that a comment like that would have been a red flag to me.
