A Richie County woman shot her husband in the stomach with a .22 rifle on Tuesday because she believed he contracted a venereal disease from a neighbor. Now, I know I'd be mad, but that's a little harsh, don't you think? The husband is in critical condition, and the wife is in the hospital, too, after complaining of chest pains. I'd be having chest pains if I were in that situation, heartbreak over the thought of a cheating spouse, heartbreak over the knowledge of my actions, and fear of the potential jail time I might have to serve.
